China v Melbourne Victory
BEIJING - The China National team will play a friendly against A-League Champions Melbourne Victory in their final warm-up game ahead of the Asian Cup.
The game will take place on July 4, six days before China kick-off their Asian Cup campaign against Malaysia.
It is also the glamour tie of Victory's Asian tour before they take part in the Lord Mayors Cup on July 7 with Melbourne set to face sister-city rivals Tianjin Teda, who are currently sixth in the Chinese Super League.
"This tour is highly significant in that it establishes Melbourne's credentials within an Asian context, both for our club and the city," Victory Chairman Geoff Lord told the club's official website.
"It is also a great opportunity to provide visibility for our sponsors in the Asian continent."
China are in Group C of the Asian Cup, alongside Malaysia, Iran and Uzbekistan.
